Pink Heart jewelry dish with real gold accent
Hearts are used to express love, faith, courage and the essence of emotional connection. This delicate pink heat is created with the heart-shaped leaf of the Rock Fig plant, also known as petiolate fig. This plant grows in the desert, sometimes in harsh environments - I love the symbolism that love can thrive anywhere, like this plant, even in difficult conditions.
These ceramic jewelry holders are a one-of-a-kind pieces made completely by hand, with leaf imprints unique to each dish. The beautiful leaf is hand painted and the dish is accented with real 22kt gold applied to the rim by hand. I create every piece individually in my California studio.
The ceramic dish is kiln fired 2200 degrees F for full vitrification and a beautiful glossy finish. Real gold is added by a special process for ceramics and the dish is fired a third time to bond the gold.
Measures approximately 5 inches across. Each dish is made individually by hand from real leaves - please allow organic variations in patterning and color.
