Large Periwinkle Nasturtium Leaf, Ceramic with Gold Accent
This periwinkle blue leaf jewelry dish or trinket tray is handcrafted, glazed and fired in my studio. This beautiful leaf shape and intricate details are created from a real leaf from my garden, from a plant called Nasturtium. The shape is primarily oval, with an undulating organic shape.
This jewelry holder is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a translucent cornflower or periwinkle blue with beautiful natural variations found in a kiln fired finish. Touches of blue are layered with touches of violet. Real 22kt gold accents are added in a special process for ceramics and the piece is fired a third time in the kiln.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio. Each piece is a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.
Measurements:
Approximately 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Each piece is made completely individually from an actual leaf. No two leaves are the same and each piece is formed and designed by hand. Please allow for slight imperfections, variations, and organic shapes which is what makes each one as unique as a fingerprint.
