Dragonfly Jewelry Dish with Lavender Flowers, Ceramic Dish with Gold Accents
The dragonfly captivates us with its beautiful wings and flight, seeming like a messenger from magical world. The dragonfly symbolizes transformation and introspection, letting go of anything that holds us back. Many cultures believe that dragonflies bring messages from loved ones, especially those we have lost. This ceramic dish features a beautiful dragonfly hovering near purple lavender flowers, a perfect place for jewelry, trinkets, a special ring, or an incense cone. The ceramic dish is accented with real 22kt gold.
This dragonfly ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. Real lavender sprigs are imprinted into the clay, capturing the intricate beauty of the leaves and flowers. The dragonfly is sculpted carefully by hand, added to the dish, and then painted by hand. The glaze is a glossy warm white with the beauty of a kiln fired ceramic, showing off the intricate detail of the hand-painted lavender flowers and leaves and the gorgeous wings of the dragonfly. A real 22kt gold overglaze is applied to the rim, a mother-of-pearl finish is applied to the dragonfly, and the piece is then fired a third time to bond the gold and mother-of-pearl to the piece. It is a labor-intensive process that is worth the extra step.

These ceramics are individually made by hand from start to finish, using real flowers, so please allow for the slight variations and organic shapes which are what makes them unique pieces of art.
