Oak Leaf and Acorn Ceramic Jewelry Dish, Colorful Fall Leaves with Gold Accent
Acorns and oak leaves have long been powerful symbols of strength, rebirth, and renewal. As the oak leaves change color and fall, the mighty tree prepares for renewal. As the tiny acorns fall to the ground, they promise new life and hope. Oak leaves have long adorned the crowns of various rulers, representing strength, longevity, and power. This jewelry is inspired by the incredible beauty of a these leaves and the intricate detail of small acorns. This piece is created with the intricate imprints of actual leaves and acorns, carefully handcrafted and handpainted, glazed and fired in my studio. Each painted scene captures a moment in autumn. Rings, jewelry, trinkets, or incense cones can be placed in this holder.
This ceramic leaf dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glazed finish is a soft satin gloss over the vibrant colors of the leaf. A 22kt real gold overglaze is applied to the leaf and rim and then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio, a labor of love that I hope will spark joy in your home.

Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art. Each leaf is an individual painting and they will all vary like actual autumn leaves.
