Small Butterfly Jewelry Leaf Dish with Gold Accent

This ceramic dish features a beautiful periwinkle-blue leaf dish with an orange-yellow-red butterfly. This dish is special place for jewelry, trinkets, a special ring, or an incense cone. The ceramic dish is accented with real 22kt gold.
This butterfly ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The dish is made from a real hydrangea leaf. The butterfly is sculpted carefully by hand and then painted by hand with ceramic stains before the piece is fired in the kiln to full vitrification. The glaze is a glossy warm white with the beauty of a kiln-fired ceramic, showing off the intricate detail of the hand-painted leaf and the gorgeous wings of the butterfly . Real 22kt gold is applied and then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. It is a labor intensive process that is worth the extra step.
