Ladybug Wall Hanging, Ladybug on Hydrangea Leaf with Gold Accents
Ladybugs are not only the protectors of the garden, they are also said to foretell good luck and romance. This cute ladybug ceramic wall hanging is perfect for placing next to the doorway, as a protective good luck charm or as a cheery welcome to visitors. This beautiful organic leaf shape and intricate details are created from a real Hydrangea leaf from my garden. The little ladybug is sculpted by hand.
This flat wall hanging is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a soft glossy finish with beautiful natural variations found in a high fired finish. Real 22kt gold accents are added in a special process for ceramics and the piece is fired a third time in the kiln.
This wall hanging is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio. Each piece is a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.
Measurements:
Approximately 6 inches long. Each piece is made completely individually from an actual leaf. No two leaves are the same and each piece is formed and designed by hand. Please allow for slight variations and organic shapes which is what makes each one as unique as a fingerprint.
