Tiny Guardian: Hedgehog Figurine Ceramic Sculpture
A tiny roly poly hedgehog! Hedgehogs embody playfulness and lightheartedness - they are cute and curious animals and they seem to have little smiling faces. On their serious side, they symbolize protection - coming from their spiky coat that wraps around them and protects them. So what does this Tiny Guardian remind us? It will hopefully remind you to stay curious and playful even when facing tough challenges and while taking care of yourself. Keep it nearby on your nightstand, where you work, nestled in a small plant, or any special spot where you can see it throughout the day and have it bring you a little smile. This little hedgehog sculpture is ceramic, hand painted, and kiln fired to a glossy finish on all its sides. To achieve this, I suspend the hedgehog on tiny points so that the glassy glaze can coat it on all sides.
Unlike most figurines you may see on the market, this ceramic hedgehog is a one-of-a-kind solid piece, sculpted completely by hand and not cast from molds. I create these sculptures one at a time, taking weeks from start to completion.
