Small Sleeping Fox Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Leaf Trinket Dish with Gold Accent
A special jewelry holder or trinket tray to inspire some forest magic in your home. Foxes are said to bring protection and good luck, a perfect combination when finding a place for your special jewelry. This fox ceramic jewelry dish is handcrafted, glazed and fired in my studio. This little fox figurine keeps watch over this beautiful ceramic leaf, a spot for your rings, earrings, or other jewelry.
This ceramic leaf dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2250 degrees Fahrenheit. The leaf is imprinted from a real leaf (a hydrangea leaf), and handpainted to accent the intricate detail. The sleeping orange fox is handpainted as well and is the charming centerpiece of the leaf dish.
The glaze is a glossy soft clear. Real 22kt gold is applied to the rim and piece in a special process, and the dish is fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. It's a labor intensive process that gives a special finishing touch.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio. Each piece is a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.

Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
