Pink Mums Jewelry Dish, Ceramic with Gold Accents
Chrysanthemums represent happiness, warmth, friendship, and positivity - looking at its cheerful and simple beauty, it's no surprise to associate it with optimism and joy. Here, a patch of miniature mums sparkles in the sunlight.
The intricate and detailed imprints of multiple flowers are carefully made in clay which is then bisque fired, hand painted with stains and underglazes and then fired to 2200 degrees F for full maturity of the ceramic. The ceramic glaze transforms into a layer of glass coating the piece. Real 22kt gold accents are added to the rim and to the flowers, one dot at a time, and the piece is fired again to bond the gold to the ceramic.
This ceramic jewelry or ring dish is a one-of-a-kind handmade art piece, made by me in my California studio. The dish measures approximately 5 inches wide.
Please allow for slight variations in these dishes as they are made with real flowers and leaves, and each dish is sculpted one at a time, each treated as an individual piece. The organic variations and shapes are what makes each of these handmade ceramics unique.
