Strawberry Patch Jewelry Dish, Ceramic with Real Gold
Strawberries beautifully represent the sweetness of summer days, their beautiful red color and heart shape whispering the symbolism of pure love and carefree happiness. A pair of ripe red strawberries captures a hint of romance and love. The leaves and flowers I used to create this ceramic jewelry dish are indeed from an actual strawberry plant.
This jewelry dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The ceramic dish is imprinted with real strawberry leaves and flowers from a strawberry plant in my garden. The piece is then handpainted with stains and underglazes to accent the beautiful textures. The dish is then glazed and fired in the kiln. Real 22kt gold is applied and the dish is then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. The glazed finish is a glossy warm white, with beautiful natural variations found in a kiln-fired finish.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio, a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.

Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
