Small Sleeping Arctic Fox Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Hydrangea Leaf Trinket Dish with Gold Accent
A special jewelry holder or trinket tray to inspire some forest magic in your home. Foxes are said to bring protection and good luck, a perfect combination when finding a place for your special jewelry. This arctic fox ceramic jewelry dish is handcrafted, glazed and fired in my studio. This little fox figurine keeps watch over this beautiful ceramic leaf, a small spot for your rings, earrings, or other jewelry.
This ceramic leaf dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The leaf is imprinted from a real Hydrangea leaf, and handpainted in winter colors to accent the intricate detail. The white fox is touched with real gold and is the charming centerpiece of the leaf dish.
The glaze is a glossy soft clear on top, warm white and unglazed on the underside. Real 22kt gold overglaze is applied to the rim in a special process, and the dish is fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. It's a labor intensive process that gives a special finishing touch.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio. Each piece is a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.
