Fairytale Mushrooms, Ceramic Dish with Gold Accent
These cute red mushrooms are perfectly at home in any enchanted forest filled with gnomes and fairies - a perfect spot for a tiny frog or snail to take a rest. I sculpted each mushroom by hand from clay, adding them to this dish imprinted with real ferns.
This mushroom ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and kiln-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The mushrooms are painted by hand, with little white dots accenting the red caps.
22kt gold is applied to the textured rim in a special process for ceramics, and the dish is fired a third time to bond the gold to the ceramic. It's a labor-intensive step that makes the dish extra special. This piece is handmade from start to finish.
Measurements: This jewelry holders is approximately 5 inches wide
Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
