Springer Spaniel Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Trinket Dish with Gold Accent
A special jewelry holder or trinket tray with a cute little companion to bring extra fun to your home. This Springer Spaniel ceramic jewelry dish is handcrafted, glazed and fired in my studio. The sweet little Springer figurine keeps watch over this beautiful ceramic dish, a spot for your rings, earrings, or other jewelry.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The "rug" pattern is imprinted from vintage lace fabric, and handpainted to accent the intricate detail. The little dog is handpainted with colored glaze and is the charming centerpiece of the dish.
The glaze is a glossy soft clear, warm white on the underside. Real 22kt gold overglaze is applied to the rim in a special process, and the dish is fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. It's a labor intensive process that gives a special finishing touch.
This jewelry holder is handmade from start to finish, entirely by me in my California studio. Each piece is a labor of love that I hope will bring light and joy into your home.
