Large Yellow Gardenia Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Dish with Flower Imprint
There is no other fragrance like gardenia in a summer garden. Gardenia is a classic garden beauty and a flower given to another as a symbol of deep trust and love. Gardenia flowers come in both white and creamy yellow; they have a beautiful form that is captured in this ceramic dish.
This ceramic jewelry holder features a single gardenia flower and leaves. Handmade from start to finish, using a flower from my own garden, this dish creates a special spot for your rings, earrings, other jewelry, or incense cones.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The flower and leaves are imprinted from an actual gardenia from my garden and then handpainted with shades of very soft creamy yellow. The glazed surface is a soft glossy finish.
Real 22kt gold is applied to the rim in a special process designed for ceramics, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the gold. It's a labor intensive process with a beautiful result.
Measurements: Approximately 5 inches wide
Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art. Each piece is made from an actual flower and created individually.
