Large SILVER Dandelion Wish, Two Dandelion Seed Heads, with 22kt WHITE gold accents
The white dandelion represents innocence and purity as well as healing and recovery. The dandelion and its floating seeds are a powerful symbolism of freedom and boundlessness. The ceramic dish is imprinted with two real dandelions with seeds floating into the sky. Each dandelion and individual seed is enhanced with hand-carving. The rim is accented with real 22kt gold.
This dandelion ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a glossy warm white with the beauty of a high fired ceramic, showing off the intricate detail of the dandelion seed head which has been enhanced with delicate carving and coloring of the clay. A real 22kt WHITE gold overglaze is applied and then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. The finished accent is the beautiful deep silver color of white gold. I don't do this finish as often as the yellow gold - it is a striking effect. It is a labor intensive process that is worth the extra step.

These pieces are individually made by hand from start to finish, and slight variations and organic shapes are what makes them perfectly unique. Each dish is made with a real dandelion and further carving is completed by hand, making each dish as unique as a fingerprint.
