Orange Nasturtium Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Dish with Flower Imprint
Nasturtium flowers symbolize loyalty and courage in love. Their classic flowers have a beautiful form that is captured in this ceramic dish. Did you know the flowers and leaves are also edible?
This ceramic jewelry holder is covered with handpainted nasturtium flowers and has a real 22kt gold accent on the rim. Handmade from start to finish, using flowers from my own garden, creating a special spot for your rings, earrings, other jewelry, or incense cones.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The flowers and leaves are imprinted from an actual nasturtium flowers leaves and then handpainted with shades of green, orange, and red underglazes. The glaze is a glossy soft clear.
Real gold is applied to the rim in a special process designed for ceramics, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the gold. It's a labor intensive process with a beautiful result.
Measurements: Approximately 5 inches wide. Each dish is completely unique, formed organically by hand and created from real flowers and real leaves so please allow for slight variations.
