Bumble Bee Jewelry Holder, Sage and Rosemary Ceramic Dish with Gold Accents
Bumble bees are the focused, productive, and patient presence among the plants and flowers. They are the sign of a thriving and harmonious garden. This cute little bumble bee is sculpted by hand, busy at work among beautiful impressions of real leaves on this high fired ceramic jewelry dish. 22kt gold accents add sparkle to the leaves and to the rim of this one-of-a-kind ceramic piece.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a glossy soft clear. The piece is imprinted with actual sage and rosemary leaves, and then hand-painted with shades of green ceramic stains and underglazes.
Real gold is applied to the ceramic dish in a special process designed for ceramics, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the gold. It's a labor intensive process with a beautiful result.

Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
