This cute ladybug ceramic dish is perfect for jewelry, trinkets, a special ring, or an incense cone. The ceramic dish is leaf shaped and imprinted with a real leaf, and the rim is accented with real 22kt gold. The leaf is from a plant called Princess Flower, and the leaf is incredibly textured. I hand form the leaf into a slightly curved shape - I want to capture the feeling of a leaf floating through the air.
This ladybug ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2100 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze is a glossy warm white with the beauty of a high fired ceramic, showing off the intricate detail of the handpainted leaf. A real 22kt gold overglaze is applied and then fired a third time to bond the gold to the piece. It is a labor intensive process that is worth the extra step.

These pieces are individually made by hand from start to finish, and slight variations and organic shapes are what makes them perfectly unique.
