Fuchsia Jewelry Holder, Ceramic Dish with Flower Imprint
Fuchsia flowers symbolize bold love and confidence. Their showy flowers have a beautiful form that is captured in this ceramic dish.
This ceramic jewelry holder is covered with handpainted fuchsia flowers and has a real 22kt gold accent on the rim. Handmade from start to finish, using flowers from my own garden, creating a special spot for your rings, earrings, other jewelry, or incense cones.
This ceramic dish is made from smooth porcelain-like stoneware clay, dried, bisque fired, glazed, and high-fired once more at approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. The flowers are imprinted from an actual fuchsia flowers and then handpainted with shades of red, pink, purple, and green underglazes. The glaze is a glossy soft clear.
Real gold is applied to the rim and flowers, an iridescent mother-of-pearl finish is applied to the flowers, and the piece is fired a third time to bond the iridescence and the gold. It's a labor intensive process with an unusual and fun result.
Measurements: Approximately 5 inches wide
Slight variations and organic shapes in handcrafted ceramics are what make them perfectly unique pieces of art.
